The School of Creative Arts were pleased to welcome Auburn University Industrial Design department who visited Magee College for the 11th year of their famous Ireland Travelling Studio project. Northern Ireland Company ST+D sponsored a design charette with a focus on heart pulse wave monitor systems. Justin Magee set up the project. William Lee (ST+D’s Design Consultant) spent a day with the group to offer his experitise and experience). Alan Watts ST+D’s chief engineer attended the final presentations and presented the prize of $300 to the winning group. 2 final year BDes students and 1 MDes student contributed to the project by making 3d virtual models of each groups designs.
