Very windy day F5/6. Racing in Culmore bay. Anton H managed a repair to the shroud pin and ring while on the water thereby avoid a mast collapse but then in a state of anxiety capsized three times before the race started. After the race Anthony mentioned that Teresa kindly mentioned that he “is very agile for the age of him”. Anthony and Teresa also went for a swim just at the start of race one leading to some general confusion on the start line. Congratulations to danny and Gareth G who managed to cross the line in front of Ken L! Race two gave rise to a spectacular high speed reach across the bay with the the two GP’s and two Phantoms all in close formation. Alan T had a close escape at the Gibe mark but somehow managed to stay in the boat. Anthony G and Teresa were close behind in a two lap race that lasted just 22 minutes. A great day out sailing.

A great day out with all ten Clipper skippers and many crews arriving at Culmore point and over 100 members of general public. The bookie did well. We were pleased to see Sir Robin Knox Johnson who went out for spin in James Hockley’s Punt and was a great company on shore. The results were calculated over two races:
1st Edinburgh Inspiring Capital with Danny Gallagher
2nd Singapore with Danny McDonald
3rd Australia Gold Coast with James Hockley
