Beautiful day, windy and sunny. F4+ Northerly. Start at the perch, Muff, Faughan, Powerstation. James H Snr sailed in Anton H’s laser and did very well. James was awarded a LFYC handicap of 1180. He was seen on some fantastic reachs from the Faughan mark to the powerstation passing some GPs who had got ahead on the long beat.  In the second race James was kind enough to give Anton’s laser a wash at the Muff mark. He exited the boat arse first and but managed to land on the centreboard and complete a dry capsize. Stylish stuff! Anton H and Barry McN also had a good sail, struggling today in heavier wind on the beat but flying downwind.

James H Jnr was sailing with Peter F and they sailed brilliantly in race 2 with a fine win.

Gareth and Richard G lead the first race for a long time and finished within seconds. Great sailing. Comhghairdeas!

Nice wind F3 or 4 changed direction from West to North between race 1 and race 2. Great to see Jack H out in the Laser and going well. Also great to see club Secretary Colum F and his daughter out for a scoot. There were some insects inside Colum’s boat which I dont think his daughter particularly apprecaited. I seen Colum casually evicting a slug. Lucky his Daughter didnt see that, oh doh, shouldnt have said that.
First race from the perch to Harts, Conniborrow, Faughan and the Power Station.
Second race from the Perch to Faughan, Muff, Power Station.
Anton H and Barry N gave their GP14 a wash on teh start line at the begining of race 2: stylish

Sailing today from the slipway to Harts then the Green mark and around the point to Conniborrow and over to Faughan. F3 very shifty.
Strong tides.
Great to see Barry N back sailing again after an absence of several years. Welcome back Barry.
In the second race the tide played a major factor. The first two boats got finished ok. Anton H and Barry N managed just about ok but for the boats behind them it was increasingly difficult. Well done to everyone for finishing!
